Tucson Pending Sales Are Up Too!

Tucson’s “Pending” or homes under contract for purchase figures are up as well.  So, the improvement we are experiencing and the supposed reasons for it are very similar to what we are seeing in the Phoenix real estate market here. 

 According to Tucson Real Estate Blog,

“Pending Contracts seem to be up nationally for March.  One thing for certain.  It looked like 800 wouldn’t be reached for March just a couple of days ago and now 900 doesn’t look out of the realm of possibility.  There were 930 Closed Transaction in March of 2008…It also appears the $8000 First Time Home Buyer Tax Credit is having an effect on home purchases as well.”

So, real estate for Central and South Arizona shows some strength which is consistent with other areas I have highlighted recently.  Let’s hope this continues.
