From time to time, I might take a homeowner out in the evening to do a scorpion search if there is a chance that there are scorpions in the area and the home buyer has concerns. This is from such an excursion in a Tempe neighborhood this past Sunday evening where my client is considering buying a Tempe home.
We didn’t see a whole lot of scorpions this evening but this is one that we came across. The scorpion was busy eating away at a cricket it managed to catch. Typically, scorpions will hover on the walls waiting for signs of insects to come by. When it spots something, the scorpion can move very quickly to sting and catch it.
I know quite a bit about scorpions so I make myself available for home buyers and homeowners when they have a concern. It’s just one of the crazy things I do sometimes.
Here are some links to other information on scorpions if you are curious or looking for answers as to how to deal with them if you have them in your area.

If you would like someone to help you with regard to understanding what scorpions might be doing outside your home, feel free to give me a call. I’d be more than happy to take a look.

Blacklights are the most effective way to see them. It’s like scorpions and blacklights were made for each other.
