On my way back from showing properties this afternoon, I came across this tragic house fire in the Villages of El Dorado neighborhood. From what I saw, the fire was relatively fast moving and looked like the home was a total loss. A car remained in the garage.
I hope everyone got out safely and is okay. This is no doubt going to be a difficult time given the loss of the owners’ home, their personal effects, the memories, and certainly the traumatic impact of something such as this. As such, our prayers are out to them.
Something like this should always remind people that sometimes the unimaginable can happen with your home. So, it’s vital to keep your insurance policies current and keep a wary eye for anything that might pose a hazard in your home. As well, it might be a good idea to think about how you and your family would exit your home if there was a fast moving fire.
