From time to time we will be highlighting communities across the Valley.
Carino Estates is a fantastic neighborhood located at Alma School Road and Queen Creek Road (South of the 202S Freeway) in Chandler. Most homes in the community was built from 2000-2002 by Shea Homes.
Carino Estates is composed of three sections as well as three levels of home product. Shea Homes has had a strong reputation in the Phoenix area and Carino Estates is a great example of their past product. In Carino Estates, Shea’s higher end product offered tall vaulted ceilings, expansive well-equipped kitchens, and a sense of flowing lines and elegant touches,. Shea’s more value oriented product in the Carino Estates community also boasts vaulted ceilings and decorative touches but are smaller in square footage with a more practical design.
The final section, built in 2002, offered a middle option that somehwhat mixed elements of the two products somewhat but with completely new floorplans layouts. These home floorplans represented a departure for Shea Homes at the time.
This home at 4 bedroom 2 bath, 2,257 square feet is an example of one of Shea’Homes’ most popular floorplans.
Carino Estate’s appeal is its location near Ocotillo in Chandler, the style and design of its homes, and its broad running-greenbelts throughout the entire community, the style of its homes. Shea Homes built a great community that has clearly matured very nicely since its development.
Carino Estates is also complemented by the presence of a City of Chandler park (play park, volleyball, and athletic fields) and Chandler Unified School District Hancock Elementary school. Arden Park, a community built by Fulton Homes and US Homes shortly after, is located just to the north of Carino Estates.
Carino Estates is very well regarded in Chandler and so, property values have fared better relative to other developments. In addition, Carino Estates’ sense of community (Carino Estates residents had a carnival last Spring) among its residents gives it that additional benefit that is hard to quantify financially but is very welcome emotionally.
